~Rainy Day~

It's been raining all day and we we were all tired of being cooped up. Jess had dinner plans with his good friend so I did what any good mother would do: let my toddlers run around in the cold rain and get soaking wet! The kids were more excited to get out their umbrellas than they were on Christmas morning. Of course I was right behind them snapping away under my own umbrella. (I really did cut out a ton of pictures. There just too many cute ones to choose from!)

Going for a walk to see Grandma and Grandpa,

and checkin out all the worms along the way.

Almost there!

We certainly couldn't skip out on the puddle-jumping!

Always so curious to taste everything....

....and never far behind.

This is when I decided it was time to go in. Despite all they're warm clothes, they were soaked!

We ended the night with a warm bath...

...and leftover birthday cake.

Breaking the rules every now and then is necessary to make great memories!!!

29 years, 29 things

Jess is 29 today. It's so weird for me to think about all the time that has gone by since we met. Jess was only 23 then. I was 18. Sometimes I forget how much older we are getting, but wow, Jesse will be 30 in one year! Don't worry honey, I still think of us as 18 and 23, just with a bit more wisdom and a little more maturity!

Anyways, here's 29 things I love about Jess, not really in any particular order.

29-He's willing to watch chic-flicks with me. Even 'Mama Mia' and 'Twilight'.
28-He goes out of his way to make me feel better. Last week we attended a viewing and my emotions could be held in no more. I cried the whole way home (it reminded me too much of my grandpa's with all the cowboy memorabilia displayed, and I almost always cry when other people cry). He was concerned for me but just let me cry, and then when I was "better" he stopped to buy me a slurpee because he knows I love them.
27-He let me buy a new camera (nikon d90- UH-mazing!) and has enjoyed helping me learn more about it.
26-He loves babies. My first niece was born when we were just barely engaged and Jess used to lay on the couch and let her sleep on his chest. He has gone above and beyond my expectations in helping me with our babies.
25-He comes from an amazing family. We had a really great dinner last night with them at Macaroni Grill, and we literally just sat and talked and laughed together for hours. Thanks for a wonderful night guys!
24-He has the most gorgeous blue eyes I've ever seen! I fell in love with them sitting across from him in Olive Garden on our first date. I'm so glad he passed them on to our kids! (I once had a dream when I was a teenager about my little blonde haired, blue eyed son. I yearned for him ever since, and now he's mine.)
23-He still tells me I'm beautiful (sometimes even HOT :).
22-He is wrapped so tightly around Jayci's little, tiny finger. He even bought her flowers on her birthday.
21-He makes me laugh every single day!
20-He checks on the bebes when they are sleeping.
19-He's letting me be gone on his birthday night because I have a photo class and he knows I need to get my money's worth.
18-I know he'll still love his birthday because he'll get to have lots of 'daddy time', something he loves and cherishes.
17-He honors his priesthood and has been worthy to give me and the kids blessings when we've needed them.
16-He is the hardest working person I know. I'm grateful for this because there is great value in hard work, though it's value seems to slip away as more video games are released. Our kids will have a great example to follow and I'm satisfied our family will always be provided for.
15-He has a very nice Hinee!
14-The kids get so excited and run to the door when he comes home from work.
13-He tells me he likes my food when I cook.
12-He and Jack are best buddies! Jack idolizes him. (which scares me sometimes. Jesse has cheated death a few too many times because of his love for wheels.)
11-He secretly sold his guns to buy me new couches. Once again, I cried like a baby.
10-He is incredibly talented.
9-He has a beautiful singing voice. Something not too many people know.
8-He's very generous and finds great satisfaction in giving and serving.
7-He's a manly man down to the core. Makes me feel safe!
6-He's good with money.
5-He laughs with me when I have a blonde moment (something that unfortunately happens all too often).
4-He calls me skinny minnie, even when I'm not.
3-I knew he would treat me well because of the way he treats the women in his family. He was raised right!
2-He is the VERY BEST daddy in the world. The love he shows and the time he gives to Jack and Jayci never ceases to amaze me.
1-He is truly my very best friend.

Happy Birthday Jess! I absolutely love being married to you, and I still am flattered you chose me to be your wife! I'm excited we can grow closer for eternity!

PS. Jesse's really excited for Harry Potter to come out! Or maybe he got smacked in the head with a muffler.

That was short lived....

A step back in time

I did Jayci's hair today and these are all I can think about everytime I look at her. Remember these?
See the resemblance?
