What?!?

Do I seriously have a four year old?!?

I know I'll say this every birthday, but wow, where does the time go? Four years ago I was in the hospital having just given birth to my first little angel. Oh how I love him!!!

One of my most favorite things about Jack is his sweet, gentle side. This morning we took him to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house with my parents and some of the non-members in our neighborhood. There was also an elderly woman my parents brought along, Sister Krey, who is an active member in our ward who need to be pushed in a wheelchair throughout. Jack, who never knew her before today, went right up to her and held her hand and chatted with her the whole time in the temple. He showed her all the paintings of Christ hanging on the walls and when we got to the baptisimal font, which is a point of fascination for Jack, he got so excited and opened his brochure to show Sister Krey the picture of it. "We found it!", he kept saying. He was also quite the little gentleman. When we had to go through doorways that wouldn't fit a wheelchair and a little boy side by side, he'd go in first, turn around, take her hand and lead her through. Seriously, it was precious. He has such a good heart.

To be continued......
(I'm pooped! Also pics of the party coming soon. We had a blast!)

That is so sweet! What a good kid. I cryed the whole day Lauren turned four! For some reason it hit me pretty hard that she was getting older. I love that picture of Jack. He looks so cute in it.

That's a quality that will take him far in life. My ten-year old is so tender hearted as well. It's one of my favorite things about him. It seems to be a more prevelant quality in girls so it's a rare treat to have a little guy with such a big heart AND I'm sure it meant the world to the lady he was helping along!
