Jack's Playground

(sorry I left that nasty meat picture up for so long!)

Jess took Jack to the Dunes this weekend.  Boy, was he in heaven!!   I started to pack for Jack when Jess was still at work on Friday, and when I told Jack what I was packing for, he dropped what he was doing and was ready to  head out.  He could hardly wait until Jess came  home from work, and was so funny and sweet in his giddiness as he sat next to Jess in his booster in the front seat of the truck.

They got to go for rides, go on walks and hikes, go lizard hunting, and eat nothing but snacks all weekend.  I think Jack would live outside in the dirt if we offered!

Jess said that Jack was extremely well behaved and friendly to everyone there.  He sat with his lounge chair on top of the truck cab with a bag of chips and his drink and watched the buggies and four wheelers for hours.  Every time someone would walk by he'd call down to them, "Hey!  Hey you!  Hey, boys!  Hi."

Jess also said that when they laid down in the tent to sleep, Jack leaned on him and said, "Papa, thank you for bringing me to the sand dunes."

Jack has the best Papa ever!

He is such a sweetheart! He reminds me of Jess so much when he was a little boy. I love them both so much! And we had SO much fun the other night playing games. Thanks for having us over. We really need to do that more often. Love you guys!

Jill, I think me and my family were down there with our buggy that day too. I swear I remember seeing the buggy. Gorgeous buggy by the way.
