(This is only 6 months late. March 3, 2012)
| Grammy took Jayci on a Birthday date and let Jayci pick out a gift. For some reason Jayci chose this little chick and then insisted on getting a picture taken with it. |

| Birthday morning. |
Right before her birthday Jayci fell in love with the Rapunzel bride paraphernalia so that's pretty much what her birthday revolved around.

A few weeks before her big Jayci and I were looking online for an idea for her party. Right as she concluded that she wanted a princess party I got an email from Aleesa about a princess party fundraiser that Springville High School dance team was putting on. Aleesa's mom is a teacher there and has been the drill team instructor for years and years, and she was wanting to take Emma, so Aleesa was extending the invite to Jayci and Lilly as well. When I saw that the date was March 3 I knew it was meant to be! Saved me from planning a party (not usually my thing). We just invited the girl cousins and told Jayci it was a princess party for her. She was thrilled!
Jayci and her new cousins on the Elies side, Kylee and Nickole
All the cousins: Nickole, Kylee, Jayci, Lilly, Emma
Each dancer was dressed as a different princess. The girls wanted a picture with Rapunzel so "Rapunzel" was fetched and none of the girls believed that she was really her. Jayci even said, "But I wanted a picture with Rapunzel". I didn't blame them. Although the girl was beautiful in her prom dress, she wasn't too convincing ;).
Even though Lilly dressed as Aurora, she sent Princess Aurora to fetch Tinkerbelle, because that's who she wanted a picture with the most. So funny!
The party was set up in different stations. Jayci's first stop: Princess Pampering
Kylee and Nicole chose crown-decorating. The rest of the girls joined them once they had been fully beautified.
Jayci was definitely in her element!
One highlight of the princess party was when the gals put on a fashion show and each little princess got to strut their stuff down the runway, accompanied by the princess of their choice. It was super cute!
For the fashion show finale they brought Jayci and one other little girl up so they could be serenaded by the whole room with a round of 'Happy Birthday'. Jayci loved her special moment in the spotlight and really felt like the whole party was for her. I loved it and may have even teared up a little!
Later the boys joined us at home for cake, icecream, and presents.
