Xander cut his first tooth (I've been able to see it for a few days, but it officially cut through yesterday)
Jayci told Jess, "Dad, we don't toot on Sundays". It gave us a good laugh.
Jack gave the closing prayer in primary.
We celebrated Jayci's and Austin's birthday at grammy Tammy's yesterday
Tuesday, March 6
Jayci got banished to her room until it was clean, and after coming out over and over and sending her back she finally said, through sobs, "I'm sad because I can't be out with my family!"
Friday, March 16
Xander loves Jayci's room. I think he loves it because her dresser drawers are so easy to open and have big knobs on the front where he can pull himself up and then empty if of it's contents. Jayci obviously doesn't like this so much and today she shut her door while she cleaned her room to keep him out (he kept crawling in so finally she just shut the door). I was sitting on my bed and watched her go into the bathroom and leave her door open, and sure enough within seconds of her shutting the bathroom door I saw Xander, excitedly crawling to her room as fast as his little arms and legs could carry him. It was so cute and funny, I just had to record it. These little memories are the ones that pass too quickly and I don't want to forget them!
Saturday, March 17
Jack had his first soccer game of the spring season and scored 2 goals. Go Jack! After the game he told me, "I love playing soccer!" This is a great turning point for us!
Yesterday we had quite the day. I got to Jack's school to pick him up and searched for 30 minutes, even having the office employees paging him and helping me look. Turns out he decided to walk home today, even passing and noticing me as I drove to get him, but kept going, figuring he'd just wait at home. Little stinker! I was about ready to call the cops. Luckily my neighbor Amy Nielson noticed him and picked him up, knowing I would never let him walk himself, and brought him back to the school. He had already crossed 1600 N by himself though! Crazy independent kindergartner!
Jayci, "I love staying at Grandma's. Do you and dad have any more cruises?"
"I'm scared of bees because they think I'm pretty, like a flower"
after church:
Jayci, showing me her pretend name tag, "We learned about Misha-merries!"
Jack, "No, not Misha-merries Jayci. It's Nissionaries. Na-Na-Nissionaries."
Friday, April 13
I got went to the doctor today, and Kristy tended the kids while I was gone. I came back and Xander crawled over to my legs and said, "Mama". While it wasn't his first time saying the word it was his first time saying it and acknowledging me and associating the word with me. It melted my heart!
