Favorite Things-2010

 Nikon D90
Technically I purchased this in 2009, but it has definitely been one of my favorite things ever!!!  I didn't do a favorite things list for 09 so I'm counting it this year, it's still a favorite.

 Honey-crisp Apples
I've never had these until this year. Where have I been?!? It was a new discovery for me and I can't get enough of them!

 Blendtec Wheat Grinder
I don't know if this counts for 2010 since I just barely got it as a Christmas gift, but I've already fallen in love with it and have used it several times, making the most delicious breads with my freshly ground wheat!

 The Tempur-Cloud Supreme mattress
Need I say more?  I literally get into bed and just go "Mmmmmmmmm"

Shark Steam Pocket Mop
I've had the old version for several years and have liked it fine, but this year I decided to upgrade to this one and here's why:  It's taller!  This is about the only reason it made my list this year because, being as tall as I am, finding the right mop isn't easy!   I've gone through about 7 in our 7 years of marriage, none of which have met my expectations.  This one doesn't do the most fabulous cleaning job (NOTHING out there beats a good old fashioned hands and knees mopping) but for the in-between, quick mop, it's awesome!  I don't have to stoop at all, which has also been wonderful being pregnant.  Oh, and it comes with a bigger mop head that cleans much faster!  Good mop!

Moe
Pictures speak thousands of words.  Moe has been a very unexpected happy addition to our family.  I say unexpected referring to the "happy" adjective used, because I never thought I could love a cat (or really like one) but I do, I love Moe.  He's very sweet, gentle, playful, clean, and fun.  We really got him for the kids (mainly Jack).  I now feel like we were supposed to get him when we did for more reasons than just having a pet.  He's filled a void in Jack that we didn't realize was even there, and he and Jack have made a special connection that is irreplaceable.

 Photo shoot by Katie Wells,
starring: (who else would make my list of favorites?) my beautiful babies!
I always love Katie's work, and this shoot was no exception.  She was able to catch such a wide variety of my kids and their various moods and expressions.   Click here to see more.

Ohhh...I want to try that bed out. It sounds so dreamy. We SO need a new bed.

That's funny that you say that about the honey crisp apple. We went to pick apples at an orchard last fall and the honey crisps were all out because they were so popular. I'd never even heard of them before that. Anyway, I saw that they were on sale at a local market soon after that so I stopped in to try some but they were out there as well. I will definitely have to track one down one of these days so I can give it a try.
