Since Jack has a summer birthday his school celebrated his half birthday. He got to wear a birthday crown for the day and take a birthday treat to share. He wanted to take pink heart cookies. I guess even boys know that the pink treats always taste better!
I wrote his "half-birthday" post and made the joking comment at the end about him not even knowing what a half birthday is, and then just hours later I got the call from his teacher asking if she could celebrate his half birthday the next school day. I thought it was funny and ironic, and now my kids know what a half birthday is! (Well, sort of. To them it's any day that's not their real birthday, and they ask me all the time if it's their half birthday.)
Anyways, this boy couldn't have come any sweeter! He has a pure, tender heart that we love so much. As his mother it's been a great joy to often be the recipient of his sweetness.
