For Jack's fifth birthday, he wanted a pirate party, so pirate party he got. The whole party was basically a treasure hunt, with some sort of activity at each stop on the treasure map, ending with the "Treasure Chest" pinata. It turned out to be a lot of fun with a really good turn out. Jack is the only boy in his primary class, and only had 2 other boys in his school class, so figuring out who to invite was somewhat tricky, and in the end just decided to invite everyone, boys and girls, and it turned out great! I think the girls enjoy pirates as much as the boys!
These 2 pictures are at the end of the party, when we finally found the "buried treasure", and the looks on my face pretty much sum up how I felt: Sick, overheated, and exhausted! For my sweet boy though, it was worth it!
